Echinacea

Echinacea  (Echinacea purpurea)

North American Indians used echinacea in antiquity to treat cough, stomach ache, headaches, and disinfect wounds. Echinacea is widely used to fight infections, especially the common cold, and the flu.  Echinacea is also used against other types of infections including urinary tract, ear and throat infections. Echinacea is used in the treatment of depression and chronic infectious diseases.
